The cookies sit on the native skull — Kill The Church Save The Man written in the sentence structure of the slogan used to justify erasing millions of indigenous people. The institution's own logic. Turned back on itself. In frosting.
Then there's the path of blood flowing downhill. Dogs chasing cats. Men chasing what enslaves them in their lower desires. The bone in the bad boy collar saying exactly what it means. The dum dum beating his drum at the bottom going nowhere. The fruit of the garden dangling the same trap it always has.
Then there's the Smarties heading upstream. Against the blood. Against the current. All the way to the brain. Because happiness was never down there in the chase. It was always inside.
