In the mirror — Pick Your Poison written across the top. And in the reflection, the three of them become one thing: a cola bottle. Smiling. The legal poison. The one in the vending machine outside the pediatric ward. The one with the school contracts and the hospital cafeteria placement and the super bowl commercial and the lobbyist and the hundred years of marketing budget that made it synonymous with happiness itself.

The mirror doesn't lie about what they have in common. The law does.

One was criminalized for decades while it quietly healed people outside the approved channels. One was taxed and permitted because the right people got paid. One hides in plain sight inside every processed food on every shelf in America and nobody calls it what it is.

The blanket asks the question the mirror already answered. Pick your poison. Or better yet — start asking who picked for you and why.
