The goat has always been the animal they blamed. When the harvest failed, when the plague came, when the thing that went wrong needed somewhere to go — they put it on the goat and sent it into the wilderness carrying weight that was never its own. Baphomet got the same treatment at a larger scale — an ancient symbol of the union of opposites, the below reflecting the above, the material and the divine in the same body — reduced to a mascot for everything the institution needed to frighten people away from questioning.
This goat reads the scroll. The all-seeing eye in the triangle watches from above — not as surveillance but as witness, the eye that was always there while the scapegoating happened and remembers every name that was wrongly carried into the desert. A.R.A. on the scroll because the brand was built by someone who knows what it costs to carry the wrong thing out of the wrong room.
The pointillist texture of the image — every tone built from accumulated dots, nothing solid, everything constructed from the patient repetition of small marks — mirrors exactly how suppressed knowledge survives. Not in monuments. In accumulation. In the dots that build the picture when enough of them gather.
