The operator was never human. The skull just provided the chair.
Top left: the alien seated on the skull working the joystick while a spirit ascends through a framed portal into the star field above — the complete circuit laid out without apology. The body is the hardware. The skull is the throne. Something else has been running the controls and the spirit that belongs in the seat has been drifting upward looking for the exit. The moon watches from the portal frame because it always watches and has its own opinions about what runs underneath it.
Top right: the man walking hand in hand with his own shadow while a chained ethereal figure trails behind — the self that is seen, the self that does the seeing, and the self that gets dragged along regardless, bound to the whole arrangement by something it didn't choose and can't quite name. Three versions of one person moving across a flat landscape that offers no cover and no shortcuts. The chain doesn't lie about what it is.
Bottom row: the A.R.A. ichthys holding the frequency numbers, and the wise goat with the scroll — the brand's own cosmology completing the panel, the symbols that have been running through everything connecting here in the corner like a signature on a painting that was always part of the same series.
