Top left: the cookies that got someone fired from a co-op because a thousand years ago it would have been the stake and apparently the instinct never fully left the institution — just the flames. 666 flanking the message because the number they gave to the beast was always a mirror pointed at the hand holding it.
Bottom left: Jesus and a Native man raising a sword together toward the light because the actual teaching and the colonial weapon built in its name were never the same thing. The Christ that walked with the marginalized and the church that marginalized in his name parted ways a long time ago. This image knows where the real alliance was always supposed to be.
Right panel: the pope seated cheerfully atop the Bhagavad Gita, the Vedas, the Tibetan Book of the Dead, Paganism, Buddhism — the full stack of wisdom traditions the institution spent centuries trying to bury, burn, and replace with a single approved text. Hypatia weeps on the left. Pythagoras weeps on the right. They know what was lost and they watched it happen.
