Ego Death on Tracks Hooded Blankie

The train was always coming. The light in the hands was always there too.

The front is a memorial and a resurrection at once. Railroad tracks stretching into autumn like a sentence that never got finished. A figure crouched at the bottom holding light — teal and glowing — cupped in both hands like something found in the wreckage. The poem runs down both sides of the image like the thoughts that wouldn't stop even when everything else did. Two columns of survival flanking the grief. The patchwork hood carries the chaos of a mind that kept moving after it should have stopped — fire and gold and fragment above the stillness below.

Then turn around and Neverland swallows everything whole.

The back is where the ego went after it died on those tracks. Peter Pan feral against a church facade, the Cheshire cat decomposed into something with pocket watches and yellow eyes, mushrooms at the bottom right like the mind found its medicine eventually, the Queen of Hearts lurking in the corner because control never fully leaves — it just changes costumes. The winter trees on one sleeve. The sunset on the other. The sky blue and open above it all like the world kept being indifferent and beautiful simultaneously.

We're all mad hidden at the bottom like a signature. Like a diagnosis. Like a relief.

This is the blankie for everyone who lost someone to the tracks. For everyone who lost themselves there too and came back carrying light they can't quite explain.
